Almost like a sandal - I bought these for a trip to Italy this
summer. I, of course have been wearing them here to make sure
they fit the bill. I chose them for support and the ability to
wear them with or without socks and orthotics. They are very
comfortable on their own, but I will need the extra support of
the orthotics for all day wear. Unfortunately, the velcro
closure does not work very well with a midweight sock and the
orthotics. On the upside, my foot feels protected, the
traction is excellent and the shoe still feels cool and light,
almost like a sandal.
Not for a non standard wide foot - Must add here Zappos'
return policy is like nothing I've ever experienced, if all
transactions in life could go so smoothly, there'd be a lot
less frustration in the world. I ordered these first in 7.5
then in 8. Was so hoping they would fit width wise 'cause they
are a GREAT shoe. So comfy everywhere but across the top. If I
could have adjusted the velcro just an 1/8th inch or so more I
would have kept them. If you can wear a standard med width,
these are the shoe! |
